Privacy Policy
Last updated November 2, 2026
This policy explains what Knutts LLC ("we", "us") collects when you use Oppuse, why, and what choices you have. In short: we collect what is needed to run your team's calendar and dashboard, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash), and the organizations you belong to.
- Your organization's content: calendar events, event types, dashboard layout, location for weather, and other settings you enter.
- Billing details: when an Owner subscribes, Stripe collects the card and billing address. We only keep the plan, its status, the card brand and last four digits, and Stripe's reference numbers.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, and the time of each request, kept in server logs to keep Oppuse secure and to fix problems.
- Cookies: only the ones Oppuse needs to keep you signed in and protect forms. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- to run Oppuse and show your organization its calendar and dashboard;
- to send emails you need, such as invitations, password resets, calendar backups an Admin asked for, and billing receipts;
- to bill subscriptions;
- to keep Oppuse secure, prevent abuse and fix problems;
- to answer you when you write to us.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job below:
- Hostinger hosts the Oppuse server, in the United States.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Google Workspace delivers Oppuse's emails.
- Sentry receives a report when Oppuse hits an error, so we can fix it. A report holds the technical details of the error and the page, with secret link codes, form contents, cookies and your name and email removed.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, if we have it switched on, checks that a sign-up comes from a person and not a bot, which means your browser contacts Cloudflare on the sign-up page.
- An off-site backup storage provider keeps encrypted copies of the database.
- The U.S. National Weather Service, MET Norway, Iowa Environmental Mesonet and OpenFreeMap provide weather, radar and map pictures. Oppuse asks them for the weather at your organization's location; it does not send them your name or email.
- Google Fonts may supply some of the fonts on dashboards, which means your browser contacts Google to download them.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
Who in your organization can see what
Everyone in an organization can see its calendar and dashboard. Members can see the names and roles of the organization's other people. Owners and Admins can also see their email addresses and manage the organization's settings. Other organizations cannot see any of it.
How long we keep it
- Your organization's content is kept while the organization exists. Deleted events go to Recently deleted, where Admins can restore them or empty it for good.
- Database backups are kept for up to 30 days.
- Server logs are kept for a limited time and cleared regularly.
- Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
- When an organization is deleted by its Owner, its data is removed at once and leaves our backups within a further 30 days. A person who deletes their account is removed at once too; the events they added stay in the calendar under the name they were entered with.
- An organization whose trial or plan has ended is kept for at least 90 days, and we email its Owners at least 14 days before deleting it.
Your choices and rights
You can change your name, email and password in My settings, and delete your own account there. Admins can download the calendar from Settings > Backup, and Owners can download everything in the organization, or delete it, under Settings. To get a copy of your personal information, correct it, or have it deleted in some other way, write to support@knutts.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have further rights, and we will honor them. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those laws define it.
Security
Oppuse is served only over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, the database is not reachable from the internet, and each organization's data is kept separate. Backups are encrypted before they leave the server. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affects your information we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
Oppuse is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and let Owners know before it takes effect.
