Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Knutts LLC ("we", "us"), which runs Oppuse at oppuse.com. By creating an account or using Oppuse, you agree to them. If you sign up for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to.

1. What Oppuse is

Oppuse is a shared team calendar and wall dashboard. Each organization gets its own space, its own address (like yourteam.oppuse.com) and its own people, who sign in with their own accounts.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Oppuse.
Give accurate information and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
An organization's Owners and Admins decide who joins, what they can do, and can remove people at any time.
Tell us right away at support@knutts.com if you think someone else is using your account.

3. Free trial, plans and payment

New organizations start with a free trial. The length of the trial is shown when you sign up and on the Billing page.
To keep using Oppuse after the trial, an Owner picks a plan and adds a payment card. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Plans renew automatically each month or year, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. We will email you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect for you.
You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, and does not renew after that.
Payments are not refunded for partial months or years, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong, write to us and we will make it right where we can.
Prices do not include taxes. Where tax applies, it is added at checkout.
If a payment fails, we will try again and let you know, and the organization keeps working meanwhile. If it still has not been paid after a couple of weeks, the plan ends. The same happens when a free trial ends without a plan being chosen.
An organization without a plan is paused: its calendar and dashboard stop working, but people can still sign in, an Owner can choose a plan on the Billing page, and an Owner or Admin can download a copy of the calendar. Nothing is deleted when an organization is paused. We keep its data for at least 90 days so you can come back, and if we later decide to delete it we will email its Owners at least 14 days before.

4. Your content

Your organization's calendar events, settings, names and anything else you put into Oppuse stay yours. You give us permission to store, copy and show that content only as needed to run Oppuse for you, including keeping backups. We do not sell it and do not use it for advertising.

You can download a copy of your calendar at any time from Settings > Backup.

5. Acceptable use

Please do not:

break the law, or use Oppuse to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
upload content you do not have the right to share, or anything containing malware;
try to get into another organization's data or another person's account;
probe, overload or disrupt Oppuse, or get around its limits or security;
resell Oppuse or copy it to build a competing service.

We may suspend an account or organization that does any of these, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

6. Weather and other information

Weather forecasts, alerts and radar come from public sources such as the U.S. National Weather Service and MET Norway. They are shown as a convenience and may be late, incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on Oppuse for safety decisions; follow official warnings.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Oppuse running and your data safe, and we back it up every night. Still, Oppuse is provided "as is", and we cannot promise it will never be interrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features over time. If we ever plan to shut Oppuse down, we will give at least 60 days' notice so you can download your data.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using Oppuse and cancel your plan at any time. An Owner can download everything in the organization and delete it at any time under Settings, Download or delete, or by writing to support@knutts.com. Deleting an organization cancels its plan right away, without a refund for the rest of the period. Its data is removed from Oppuse at once and leaves our backups within a further 30 days. You can also delete your own account under My settings.

9. Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Knutts LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of Oppuse. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount your organization paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Polk County, Iowa.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make a meaningful change to these terms, we will update the date above and let Owners know by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Oppuse after that, you accept the new terms.
